I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed participating in the event on Sat. It was easy to find the location and park and it was nice to have the use of the church for the bathroom facilities and food area. You had a plentiful supply of food and water, so that was great. The route was well-marked and easy to follow and Greece Police did a great job of controlling traffic. The prize raffle was a bonus and a nice variety of prizes were offered. I also appreciated the fact that the registration fee was low and I was able to receive my t-shirt through interoffice mail. It was a good way to earn 25 Active Health points for walking (especially in an EWLW time period)!

When I first started out on the route, I was following 2 little boys who were jogging – they looked about 6 – and one of them said “I hope my mom is looking down at me,” so I don’t know if this is one of Meaghan’s kids, but I assumed his mom was in heaven and it just broke my heart, but kept me going, too. She would be proud of him, wherever she is.

Looking forward to participating next year, so I hope it gets posted to our Rochester Events portal again! Thanks!
